Kuttikkanam is a hill station in eastern side of Idukki district, Kerala India. It is 3500 feet above sea level surrounded by green tea plantations. And these properties made Kuttikkanam a Cool place, even during summer!

Attractions

• Vagamon – Kuttikkanam road: One of the cool attraction is the drive through this road to Kuttikkanam. The road is surrounded by green tea plants for kilometres, and we can enjoy the cool climate along with this nature beauty!

• Panchalimedu: This is a beautiful hill station view point in between Vagamon – Kuttikanam route nearby Kuttikkanam. The olace is now maintained by KTDC – Kerala Tourism Development and because of the the visitors needs to pay an an entrance fee of 20 /- Rs for adults. We can a walk through the hill by enjoying cool climate and we have places for rest as well. This is really a cool place for family and for those who comes with friends as well, we can spend our 1 – 1.5 hours here!

• Ammachikottaram: This is one of the hidden place at Kuttikkanam, where a lot of movies from Malayalam film industry had chosen. The place will look like a horror place because of its looks and surroundings. Ammachikottaram is a place where king and queen at Kochi used to live in during summer time, as Kuttikkanam is known for its cool temperature during the summer as well! So, it is a vintage palace, we can see old dishes, kitchen, rooms, furnitures there. Really a worth place to visit!

• Valanjanganam waterfalls: Valanjanganam waterfalls is a small water stream nearby Kuttikkanam situated in road side itself, and hence there are few shops to have tea and coffee for a refreshment.
• Parunthumpara: Parunthumpara is a hill station 12 Kilometres far away from Kuttikkanam. If we translate the name ‘Parunthumpara’ to english, it would be ‘Eagle rock’ because of its large area like an eagle. Since it is a spreaded hill station anyone can visit the place and the best time to visit Parunthumpara would be evening as we can enjoy the cool wind and sunset from here.
